A Dream Rooted in Tradition
Nearly twenty years ago, Diego and his family turned a lifelong dream into reality by opening El Colonial in Russell, Kentucky. Inspired by generations of authentic Mexican recipes and years of restaurant experience in California, they brought their passion for great food and genuine hospitality to a community they now proudly call home.
Since opening in April 2006, El Colonial has become a place where families gather, friends celebrate, and every guest is welcomed like family. While much has changed over the years, our commitment to fresh ingredients, authentic flavors, and creating memorable dining experiences remains at the heart of everything we do.
